MUMBAI: The Maharashtra State Election Commission (SEC) told the Bombay High Court on Wednesday that using Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines in local body elections is not feasible.
Voters in 28 municipal corporations in Maharashtra will have to press the EVM button multiple times under the multi-member ward system, while Mumbai continues with the one-ward-one-vote format.
