Don’t forget this tip!!!! Saves me all the time!!! This is called tenodesis grasp and it’s a normal function of the wrists and fingers! The flexor tendons of the fingers actually run through the wrist from the forearm. So, when the wrist is flexed (bent), the tendons relax, opening the fingers. And when the wrist is extended (straightened), the tendons are pulled taut, flexing (bending) the fingers. As an OT, we use tenodesis grasp a lot.
